Mentawais Tsunami
A 3 metre tsunami struck the Mentawai islands region of Indonesia on 25 October 2010. The death toll has reached over 400, though fortunately no visiting surfers were lost and no Atoll Travel clients have been hurt. There has been severe damage to villas at Macaronis Resort, and the surfari boat Midas was destroyed.
