Take ten days in the West Timor surf zone aboard Mahalo II, a modern motor cruiser fully equipped for your wave hunt. Explore exotic tropical waters, surf world-class waves and discover pristine beaches.
East Indonesia Surf
Indian Ocean swells roll right on to the islands of Nusa Tenggara, in the
southeast of the Indonesian archipelago.
The islands of West Timor and Roti have some well-known, little surfed breaks (like T-Lands, a huge left hander) as well as quite a few secret spots - very few surfers make it here. The best surfing is from April to October, when southeast Trade Winds are offshore at most of the breaks.
Tour Packages «
Packages are for groups of eight to ten people, and itineraries can be tailored to your needs. The trip starts in Bali, and clients may need to spend a night there before catching an early flight to Kupang, West Timor (Atoll travel will take care of your accommodation and transfers). Guests are met on arrival at Kupang, and transferred to the yacht Mahalo II - if the swell is big, you can start surfing the same day, on the many left handers near Kupang.
Then there's a five hour cruise to the island of Roti, or one of the several smaller islands within cruising range. The group can choose which breaks to head for, with advice from the highly experienced boat captain.
After ten days cruising, surfing, fishing and snorkelling, Mahalo II returns to Kupang, and clients are transferred to the airport for the flight back to Bali. Atoll Travel will arrange accommodation in Bali if required, as well as all transfers. The package includes all airfares, transfers, accommodation, boat charter and all meals while on board..
