On the southeast coast of Upolu, Salani Surf Resort has some of the best and most consistent waves directly in front, just a short boat ride away. In neighbouring Salani village you can see traditional Samoan life in, shop for handcrafts, go fishing, or explore the island on a guided tour.
Surfing Salani
Salani Surf Resort is situated at the mouth of the Fuipisia River on the edge of Salani Village. Salani Right and Salani Left are accessible by a short boat ride, directly in front of the resort where a reef pass has been created by the river.

The right is a shorter, very powerful wave producing open tubes. The left is a longer wave with some open face sections that require calm conditions with good swell.
Just 25 minutes away by boat, off a small motu, you can ride the lefts of 'The Island'. When conditions are right, land transfers are provided to several other spots such as Boulders.
To ensure uncrowded surf and personal service, the number of surfers at Salani Surf Resort is limited to 12.

On arrival at Faleolo International Airport (usually late at night) you're met by a Salani Surf Resort representative and transferred to the resort, about an hours drive away. Salani Surf Resort can comfortably accommodate 16 guests (maximum 12 surfers) in eight fan-cooled bungalows. | |||
| Each unit has a large "L" shaped deck and is raised to receive the cool ocean breezes. Bathroom facilities are provided in a central amenities block a short distance from your falé. The amenities block has five individual units, each with toilet, basin and solar-heated shower - privacy is assured. | ||||

The meals are prepared with the freshest local and imported fruits, vegetables and meats served in generous proportions to satisfy the largest appetites. Italian, American, Mexican, European, Indian, Aussie barbecue, vegetarian and Samoan dishes are served on a rotating basis. All meals are included. | |||
Other activities include island tours, Apia excursions, snorkelling, fishing trips, sea kayaking and 'fia fia' cultural shows. SCUBA diving can be arranged.
