Indonesia has many tourist resorts, mostly on the island of Bali, and mostly for package tourists. In the last few years, some resorts have been established in prime surf locations and designed to meet the needs of visiting surfers.
Atoll Travel offers a selection of resort-based surfing holidays in less-known and less developed areas with great waves that are a lot less crowded than the main breaks in southern Bali. We represent four resorts in the Mentawais region, including Telos Island Lodge, at the north-western tip of the Mentawais group, Kingfisher Bay Resort, the new and luxurious Kandui Villas, and Macaronis Resort, re-opening after 2010 tsunami damage.
Towards the other end of Indonesia, the remote Nemberala Beach Resort is on the end of Roti island at the southernmost point of the archipelago. In between are Nomad Surf Resort, with its own secluded beach on the south coast of Sumbawa, and Keramas Surf Lodge, in an uncrowded corner of Bali.
